Rawhiti farm landscape and infrastructure

Future vision

A circular farm model, presented as work to be earned.

The goal is to connect food-waste recovery, pork production, effluent treatment, energy, fertiliser and land stewardship in a model that is practical and accountable.

Targets and plans

Future language matters.

Unless public source material confirms completion, these items are presented as goals, targets or planned work. The full model is described as a June 2027 target.

Target 1

Complete the farrow-to-finish farm model.

This remains subject to operator-approved details, delivery sequencing and final reporting.

Target 2

Develop effluent treatment that can produce organic fertiliser for local farmers.

This remains subject to operator-approved details, delivery sequencing and final reporting.

Target 3

Use forestry land for carbon sequestration and forestry.

This remains subject to operator-approved details, delivery sequencing and final reporting.

Target 4

Plant more than 2000 native plants across FY24–FY26.

This remains subject to operator-approved details, delivery sequencing and final reporting.

Target 5

Reduce fossil-fuel consumption by 10%.

This remains subject to operator-approved details, delivery sequencing and final reporting.

Target 6

Install solar panels and contribute electricity to the local network.

This remains subject to operator-approved details, delivery sequencing and final reporting.

Target 7

Bring the full circular model online by June 2027, where practical and approved.

This remains subject to operator-approved details, delivery sequencing and final reporting.

Circular future

Food, energy and nutrients returned with care.

Rawhiti’s future story should stay grounded: less landfill pressure, productive food systems, better effluent treatment, potential biogas and electricity, responsible fertiliser, native planting and lower fossil-fuel use.

The design deliberately avoids unsupported investor returns, regulatory claims, accreditations or finished impact metrics.
